Serinda Swan Light Platinum Blonde Pixie Haircut with Layered Bangs

Added: 02 Jan 2018
Serinda Swan's head-turning pixie cut is ideal for ladies with doll-like features and a great bone structure. This pixie cut looks great on oval face shapes and works best with a straight hair texture. The bangs can be worn swept to the side as seen here, or back off the face for a different look. This wash-and-go style is easy to maintain and only requires regular trims and toning treatments to keep the color looking fresh.

step 1

Place a small amount of gel in the palm of your hands and then dispense it evenly throughout the hair. Applying a small amount of gel will create hold, add body and produce a longer lasting effect.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.

step 4

Use your blow-dryer and your fingers to dry the back of your hair by moving your hair around to allow the heat to pass through it.

step 5

To blow-dry your bangs to the side, clip the back and side sections up, leaving just your bangs out. Place your brush beneath your bangs, holding your hair to the side and remembering to hold the tension between your hair and brush. With your blow-dryer on a low setting, apply heat by starting at the roots and make sure to stretch your hair out to the ends. Repeat until your hair is dry.

step 6

Apply some gel-wax to your fingertips then pull through the ends of your hair in a downward motion to achieve a semi-wet, textured result.

step 7

Using a small amount of gel-wax, work it through the mid-lengths and ends in a downward motion. For a more textured, grungy look, use more gel-wax while pinching the ends as you go.

step 8

Apply gel-wax to your fingertips then gently rake through your bangs, sweeping the hair to the left as you go. Gel-wax will give you shine and a soft hold.
