Andrea Riseborough Light Blonde Pixie Haircut with Side Swept Bangs

Added: 12 Nov 2017
This chic 'do is cut shorter through the sides while the top is smoothed over to one side allowing the front to fall across the forehead slightly to finish the over-all look. This versatile hairstyle needs product for shine and hold and works best on ladies with medium to fine hair that is straight or has some wave to it.

Andrea Riseborough is flaunting a sexy side swept ‘do with a deep side part that has Sixties feel to it. She has a strong bone structure and an oblong face shape which means that she can pull off pretty much any hairstyle, especially short ones. This sculpted ‘do gives her tresses extra style and shape throughout and makes the most of her fine locks. The fringe area provides our model with some forehead coverage while creating a sexy Sixties-inspired finish. The sleek gelled look is a great way to style up this short 'do and give it some extra pizzazz.

Andrea has a fair cool complexion and blue eyes. This makes her best suited to beige and ash hair colors. Here, she is flaunting a light ash platinum blonde shade that brings out her blue eyes nicely and adds to her fashion-forward look. It also flatters her skin tone to give her a cool glow while making her eyes pop. Her hair has an overall healthy and glossy looking finish with this vibrant shade of blonde and it suits the Sixties style of her cut nicely. This color is ideal for ladies who are fair with pink undertones in their skin tone and/or eye color.

Andrea Louise Riseborough is an English stage and film actress. Her film appearances include Birdman or, Oblivion, Welcome to the Punch, Disconnect, Shadow Dancer, W.E., Brighton Rock, Made in Dagenham, Never Let Me Go, Happy-Go-Lucky, and Venus.

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 2

A small radial brush is used on shorter hair types to add more body or in longer hair types to create curl. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

step 4

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 5

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

step 6

Take a section of your hair no wider than the diameter of your brush. Place your brush under and at the roots of your section. Then with your blow-dryer above, drag the brush up through the mid-lengths and ends of the hair following with your blow-dryer and pulling the hair to the left. Repeat until your hair is completely dry.

step 7

To blow-dry your bangs you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the bangs are completely dry.

step 8

Place a small amount of gel in the palm of your hands and then dispense it evenly throughout the hair. Applying a small amount of gel will create hold, add body and produce a longer lasting effect.

step 9

Comb your hair into the desired direction that you require for styling.

step 10

Apply some some gel to your fingertips and then pull through the ends of your hair in a downward motion to achieve a sculptured look.

step 11

Apply a small amount of gel to your fingertips, then place it at the roots above your ear and drag it through as you pull your hair behind your ear.

step 12

Apply a small amount of gel to your fingers, then starting at your roots, apply the gel as you drag your hair in an upwards, to the left, motion.

step 13

Lacquer is great for strong hold. A small amount is all that is required to finish and should be applied from an arms length distance to the entire style.
