Visual Story
Description
Jess Bush has taken a classic hairstyle and has turned it into something funky and trendy... we are loving it! This hairstyle's layers are incredible! The layers provide texture, depth, and structure to your hair without making it look flat or one-dimensional. Curls or waviness that would otherwise be hidden can be encouraged and allows to make fine hair appear thicker and fuller without compromising length. Hair that is layered is perkier and has more mobility. Short hairstyles with more volume on top can lengthen your face. This is a great appearance for someone who wants their face to appear longer than it actually is. The volume also contributes to the illusion of having more hair than you actually do. This method is beneficial for those whose hair is thinning. To achieve lasting lift, lightly tease or backcomb your hair at the roots using a comb or teasing brush. Brush the top strands of hair lightly to conceal the teased section and give a complete, smooth look. You may give the idea of fuller, more voluminous hair by raising your hair, which looks fantastic with this style.
This hairdo is extremely adaptable and goes with nearly any makeup look. The waves give the face a fantastic form. Try a natural smoky eye with light and warm browns, a pink lip, and a touch of highlighter for a more subtle appearance. Try a dramatic graphic liner with a glitter lid for a more dramatic appearance. To complete this daring look, apply a strong contour and a bold lip.

Styling Steps
Comb your hair into the desired direction that you require for styling.
2. Blow-dry the Top Section Back
To blow-dry the top section back you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure that the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly lifting your hair up and working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the top section is completely dry.
3. Blow-dry Straight Back
Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.
4. Blow-dry Straight on the Sides
Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.
Apply some hard wax to your fingertips and then rub it into your roots while lifting your strands for soft volume.
Take your section of hair and pull it tightly across to the opposite side and pin it securely into place.
