Description

This was a short textured look for Agyness Deyn at the 2007 British Fashion Awards. The back and sides were clipper cut short into the head blending into the top layers which were jagged cut to achieve a choppy finish. A little wax or moulding gum is all that is needed to style this.

Styling Steps

1. Style Hair Down at the Back Using Moulding Cream

Backdown

Apply some moulding cream to your fingertips and then pull it through the ends of your hair in a downward motion to achieve a textured look.

2. Style Sides Down Using Moulding Cream

Sidesdown

Using a small amount of moulding cream, work it through the mid-lengths and ends in a downward motion. For added texture, pinch the ends as you go sparingly.

3. Spike Top Using Moulding Cream

Topspikes

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips, then grab a small section of hair and rub the moulding cream into the roots before twisting and pulling your hair upwards. For messier spikes, use a generous amount of moulding cream while twisting your hair in different directions.

4. Use Moulding Cream for Texture

Toppinching

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips and then pinch small clumps of hair in an up and forward motion. Pinch the clumps in different directions for a messier look.

5. Apply Hairspray

Hairsprayfinishing

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
