Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.
To blow-dry your bangs you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the bangs are completely dry.
Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.
When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. Starting above your ear and working your way up to your part, take a small to medium section of hair and clamp it between the barrels of your curling iron. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release.
To get your sides to sit out, apply a small amount of gel to your fingertips and then working mainly on the ends, pinch them while dragging the hair in an out and upwards motion. The more gel and the more pinching that you apply, the more textured the result.
Apply gel to the palms of your hands and then starting at the front hairline, drag your hands back over your head, smoothing as you go. For better gel distribution, we recommend using a fine tooth comb to work the gel through your hair.
