Description

Layers are jagged cut around the sides and back of the light blonde tresses enhancing movement and texture. The top is parted on the side and swept across the face to soften the face and completes the over-all look perfectly. Regular trims is needed every 4-6 weeks to prevent split ends.

Renee Olstead looks lovely here in a tousled sexy ‘do. This hairstyle is perfect for women who want a classy look that has a touch of bombshell to it. Renee has a diamond shaped face which can pull off a variety of styles with ease, including this one. The off center part and cascading grown out fringe creates a sexy peek-a-boo effect, while the tousled waves add softness and body around the face. This hairstyle is optimal for women with fine or medium hair that need extra volume in their ‘dos.

Renee has blue eyes and fair skin that has pink (cool) undertones to it. This makes her suited to lighter beige blonde tones and copper tones the best. Here she has chosen the former and opted for an all-over light wheat blonde. This works well with her complexion and brings out her blue eyes.

Renee Olstead is an American actress and singer, who started out as a child actor.

Styling Steps

1. Apply Mousse

Placeholder articles

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

2. Part to the Right

Placeholder articles

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

3. Use a Medium Radial Brush

Placeholder articles

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

4. Blow-dry the Back Under

Placeholder articles

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

5. Blow-dry Left Side Back

Placeholder articles

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

6. Blow-dry Right Side Back

7. Piece the Ends Using Wax

Placeholder articles

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

8. Apply Smoothing Shine

Placeholder articles

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

9. Apply Hairspray

Placeholder articles

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
