Description

These blonde locks are left out to sit on the shoulders showing off the curled lengths ends that gives the overall look a pretty finish. This hairstyle is easy to maintain with regular trims every 4-6 weeks and needs a small amount of product to tame fly-away hair.

Gage Golightly goes for a polished look here with a medium wavy hairstyle full of bounce and shine. This hairstyle gives her an effortlessly cool look that has a ultra-styled feel to it, making it a good choice for ladies who aren't a fan of casual or wash and go hairstyles. Gage’s hairstyle has a simple side part and grown out fringe which creates a lovely frame for her oblong face shape. She lets her hair’s natural texture do its thing here which shows off her thick, healthy tresses nicely. To give her hairstyle an extra dose of style, she has used large hot rollers to create giant voluminous curls which she keeps in tact with a soft finish.

As for her color, Gage looks lovely in light blonde locks that set off her amber eyes and olive skin tone. Having this skin tone, she looks best in light caramel, brown and blonde shades. Here, she goes for a light golden blonde tone that gives her a bright, vibrant finish.

Gage Golightly, is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Hayley Steele in the Nickelodeon series The Troop and for her role as Erica Reyes on the MTV series Teen Wolf.

Styling Steps

1. Part to the Right

Placeholder articles

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

2. Use a Medium Radial Brush

Placeholder articles

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

3. Blow-dry Bangs to the Right

Placeholder articles

To blow-dry your bangs you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the bangs are completely dry.

4. Blow-dry the Crown

Placeholder articles

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

5. Use a Blow-dryer to Kick Out the Back

Placeholder articles

Starting at the nape/back of the hair, place your brush on top of the section and blow-dryer down starting from the roots and using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Make sure to follow the brush with the blow-dryer in an outwards direction. If you like fuller flicks, hold the ends out and roll them up into the brush and apply the heat for longer.

6. Use a Blow-dryer to Kick Out the Sides

Placeholder articles

To blow-dry the sides, take out your first sections from the front and clip the rest of the hair up. Place your brush on top of the section, and starting from the roots, blow-dry down using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Continue this step until the hair is dry.

7. Use Large Hot Rollers

Placeholder articles

A large hot roller is used to give your hair a larger curl and to add lots of body.

8. Apply Hot Rollers Vertically to the Side

Placeholder articles

Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller vertically, making sure to roll it backwards, along the hair shaft to the roots and secure it with a pin or clip. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

9. Apply Hot Rollers Vertically in the Back

Placeholder articles

Take a section of hair from the nape no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller vertically down the hair shaft to the roots and secure it with a pin or clip. Continue this step until the entire back section of your hair is completed. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

10. Scrunch Moulding Cream Through Hair with Fingers

Placeholder articles

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips and then tilt your head forward and scrunch your hair.

11. Apply Hairspray

Placeholder articles

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
