Constance Zimmer Medium Wavy Dark Brunette Hairstyle with Blunt Cut Bangs

Added: 18 Oct 2015
Loose waves are dressed through the mid-lengths to ends of these dark tresses to give the over-all hairstyle body and movement. The bangs are smoothed down flat to frame the top of the face and completes the over-all look brilliantly. Product is needed for hold and shine and regular trims will help prevent split ends.

Constance Zimmer looks fabulous here in a short wavy bob with an eye-skimming fringe. Constance looks great in her bob which is usually worn straight, but here she has styled it up with kinky waves for a cool, trendy look. Constance has an oblong face shape, which looks good with a heavy, eye-skimming fringe that creates a frame for her eyes and provides some coverage for her high forehead. The length is great for Constance as well. Like most oblongs she benefits from having a cut that ends between the jawline and shoulders; longer styles can pull the face down.

For her color, Constance goes for a rich black-brown shade here that looks fabulous with her ivory skin tone and green-blue eyes. No highlights are needed here as this vibrant dark shade looks glam and glossy on its own. Ladies with fair to dark complexions will suit this color nicely as well, as long as there is some warmth in their complexion.

Constance Zimmer is an American actress best known for her roles in Entourage and Boston Legal.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.

step 3

A large curling iron is used to create large soft curls and can be used to add body.

step 4

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 5

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 6

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

step 7

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 8

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
