We're loving this look on Katy Ireland! It is subtle and yet packs a good punch that is going to leave you wanting to copy this astonishing hairstyle. The subtle waves at the bottom of the style shapes the face and neck area very nicely. It allows you to still focus on her face but at the same time, it contours the face. The curls also give this look some life and much-needed volume. The highlights are a nice touch to brighten up this look.
You are going to need to trim your hair every 6 weeks or so to ensure that the look stays in shape and that your hair stays healthy. If you are going to highlight your hair as well, you are going to need to redo your color once every 6 weeks or so to keep the color vibrant.
Due to the way in which the curls fall, glasses will not suit this look.
Makeup-wise, you can keep your makeup natural during the day and create a smokey eye for your evening look. Keep in mind that you still need to highlight and contour your face.

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.
2. Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron
Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.
3. Style Bangs to the Left Using Gel
Apply gel to your fingertips then gently rake through your bangs, sweeping the hair to the left as you go.
To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
