Cassie Scerbo Long Wavy Blonde Half Up Hairstyle with Light Blonde Highlights- Visual Story

Description

This unique, gorgeous style that Cassie Scerbo is sharing with us is one of a kind and we are living for it! This style is half up, half down which is nice because then your hair will not be in your face, which is always an added bonus. You will not have to worry about your hair getting in the way when you are slaying it on the dance floor! Her bangs are front and center and you can argue that they might just be the star of this show. Hairstyles with bangs are great styling tools because they can highlight certain features of your face and hide or flatter others. Bangs can be a great way to enhance the shape and color of your eyes. When you have large eyes, pick fine wispy bangs which sit straight down or to the side. Once Cassie was done curling her hair, she lifted her hair from the roots to add volume and height to this look. Create lift by lightly teasing or backcombing your roots with a comb or teasing brush. In order to conceal the teased area and create a full, smooth appearance, lightly brush over the top strands of hair. The effect of lifting your hair is to give the illusion of fuller, more voluminous hair, which looks magnificent in this style.

This is a formal hairstyle, so you want to apply a formal makeup application. Cover up your blemishes so that your skin can look as smooth as silk. Draw contours and highlights on your face and neck to achieve the illusion of an oval face shape. Do not forget to blend! When it comes to your eyes, you can try a bold, smokey eye or maybe even add some color. These makeup tips will help to bring out the natural color of your eyes. By adding false lashes, your eyes will appear bigger and more vibrant. You are ready for your night out on the town if you finish with your all-time favorite lipstick color!

Styling Steps

1. Section Hair

step 1

It is always a good idea to work in sections. This will help to make your hair styling quicker, easier to follow and more orderly. Comb your hair out and place your hair up into four equal sections, two in front and two in back, starting from ear to ear.

2. Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron

step 2

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

3. Blow-dry the Top Section Back

step 3

To blow-dry the top section back you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure that the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly lifting your hair up and working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the top section is completely dry.

4. Pin Hair

step 4

Once your hairstyle is complete, hold your hair into place and then pin your hair into your desired direction.

5. Lift Roots Using Gel

step 5

Apply some gel to your fingertips and then rub it into your roots while lifting your strands for added body.

6. Apply Gel Spray

step 6

To finish, evenly mist gel spray around the top, sides and back to create a lasting style.
