Alli Simpson Long Straight Golden Blonde Hairstyle with Light Blonde Highlights- Visual Story

Description

Aussie actress and teen idol Alli Simpson is blessed with typical good looks- Oz style. Sparkling blue eyes, tanned skin and beachy blonde hair is exactly how most people from around the world picture Australians, and Alli fits the bill perfectly. Like most teens, Alli likes to wear her hair long, layered, and parted in the centre, which is fine. However, this is probably one of the worst cuts for her face shape. These lovely golden blonde locks are blow-waved smooth from root to tip to achieve a slick look and feel showing off the jagged cut layers through the front and sides that compliment the length and adds shape under the jaw-line. A little product is needed for hold and shine.

Alli has an angular, square face with a high forehead. Her haircut accentuates these features rather than flatter them. If you have any of these attributes, here's what to do:
- Do not use a centre hair part if you have a square, rectangular or otherwise angular face. Always use a deep side part.
- Have an angled side-swept fringe or rounded full-on bangs cut in if you have a high forehead. On either style, make sure there is lots of layering and texturizing. This will soften up hard angles.
- If you have a square face, have your hairstylist angle your haircut so that the front is slightly longer. This creates an oval shape to the front of the hair and minimizes any squareness. Ali will probably start to experiment with more layers and fringes as she gets older, which will be much more flattering for her gorgeous face.

Styling Steps

1. Apply Moisturizer

step 1

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

2. Part the Middle

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

3. Use a Medium Radial Brush

step 3

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

4. Blow-dry the Back Under

step 4

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

5. Blow-dry the Sides Under

step 5

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

6. Apply Smoothing Shine

step 6

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

7. Apply Hairspray

step 7

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
