Description

I am just loving this hairstyle that Debra Martin Chase is rocking! It is a fun hairstyle that is full of life. There is so much movement with this hairstyle and it's ideal for someone who has thinning out hair as the waves create volume and the illusion of fuller hair which is what you want. Debra is showing us that you must use your hair texture to your advantage. You are going to need to cut your hair once every 6 weeks or so to ensure that your ends stay healthy and less split ends. Add a bit of product to your hair to lock on those waves and ensure that they stay alive throughout the day.

Makeup-wise, you are going to want to keep your makeup subtle and more natural. Stick to your brown and gold palettes. Do not forget to highlight and contour your face and neck area to help shape your face. You will be turning heads with your full of life new hairstyle.

Styling Steps

1. Part Hair in a Zigzag

step 1

Using the corner of your comb, create a straight part and then place your comb at the hairline and drag it through your hair, crisscrossing from left to right as you go. When you reach your crown, lift the comb up and then split the hair to each side, pulling it down to reveal your zigzag part.

2. Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron

step 2

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

3. Apply Hairspray

step 3

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
