Billie Eilish Medium Straight Black Hairstyle with Side Swept Bangs

Added: 31 Mar 2022
Billie Eilish is known for her gritty red-carpet style, but she wore her sleekest beauty look yet for the 2022 Oscars. She looked stunning in a black Gucci gown with ruffles, and she ditched her customary untidy shag style for something a little more polished. The mussed-up texture that we're used to seeing from Eilish, who posts images of her changing hairstyles on Instagram on a regular basis, was gone. An ultra lustrous, not-a-flyaway-in-sight raven lob took its place, with the ends flipped up '50s-style, giving emphasis to the singer's alabaster décolletage. The '50s flick has previously been worn by everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Kylie Jenner and has a sweeping side fringe that is perfectly trimmed to fit atop her eyebrow and some face-framing layers. Eilish, on the other hand, gives it a cool-girl edge, pulling it out of Stepford Wife territory and making it much more interesting.Ariana Billie did a very natural-looking, basic makeup application that suits this hairstyle. She has a very faint liner with a pastel lipstick color. If you want to glam this look up, you can add false lashes to make your eyes pop more and add some color to your eyelids to draw attention to your eyes.

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 2

Starting at the nape/back of the hair, place your brush on top of the section and blow-dryer down starting from the roots and using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Make sure to follow the brush with the blow-dryer in an outwards direction. If you like fuller flicks, hold the ends out and roll them up into the brush and apply the heat for longer.

step 3

To blow-dry the sides, take out your first sections from the front and clip the rest of the hair up. Place your brush on top of the section, and starting from the roots, blow-dry down using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Continue this step until the hair is dry.

step 4

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 5

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
