Jenna Dewan Medium Wavy Hairstyle

Added: 23 Apr 2015
Jenna Dewan is another famous brunette who always has a great ‘do on the go. Here, her dark brunette locks are worn in a sleek wavy bob, perfect for the spring and summer months. This is a simple wash and go hairstyle for women with wavy or curly hair.

For those with straight hair, this hairstyle can be created easily with a curling wand or iron. This hairstyle looks great worn down but can also be tied back in a low bun or chignon for a cute, fast up-do for those summer months. Jenna’s dark espresso brown locks look fabulous with her green eyes, but would also suit dark eyes as well. This shade may be hard for fair skinned ladies to pull off, but is a great option for medium to dark skin tones to try out.

These dark locks have loose waves added to the mid-lengths to ends then one side worn behind the ear to create this low-fuss style that is perfect to frame a long face. A little product is needed for shine and hold and regular trims is needed to prevent split ends.

step 1

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.

step 4

A large curling iron is used to create large soft curls and can be used to add body.

step 5

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 6

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 7

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
