Description
Katie Holmes is showing off a classic hairstyle that is perfect for all your casual events. She has taken it a step further and added her own twist to it when it comes to her hair color. The straight hair helps to frame her face. She has a natural-looking two-tone by having her natural hair color and then the bottom has been dyed a more copper color which looks absolutely stunning! You are going to need to use product on your hair before you straighten it so that you can protect your hair from the heat of your straightening iron. You are going to need to cut your hair once every 6 weeks or so to ensure that your hair stays healthy and that the color sticks better on your ends. You should redo your color once every 4 weeks or so to ensure that your color stays vibrant. The great thing about the two-tone look is that if you do not want to go color your hair as often, you do not have to as you don't need to worry about your root color showing.
When it comes to your makeup, you can do a natural smokey eye or you can add some color to your eyes to match your natural eye color. Finish off with a stunning lip color and you are ready!

Styling Steps
Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.
2. Apply Straightening Balm
Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.
3. Use a Straightening Iron
When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
