Description

Donna is looking so innocent with this hairstyle. It has a more natural feel to it which we are loving! Sometimes doing less to your hair is actually better. This look is mainly straight however, there are a few flicks and waves at the end of the look to gives this look some life and bounce to it which is what is needed. Due to the openness of this look, you can wear glasses which is always something nice to keep in mind.

You are going to need to trim your hair every 6 weeks or so to ensure that the look stays in shape and that your hair stays healthy. You do not want to show off your split ends!

Makeup-wise, you can pretty much do what you like with it as long as you keep the focus on one area of your face. So you can either do an outrageous lip or you can do an in your face eye. Do not forget to contour and highlight your face as well.

Donna D'Errico Long Straight Light Blonde and Platinum Two-Tone Hairstyle with Side Swept Bangs- Visual Story

Styling Steps

1. Part to the Left

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

2. Blow-dry and Flick Left Side

step 2

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in an outwards direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Repeat this step and then once the roots are dry, drag the brush to the mid-lengths and then slowly turn the brush in an inwards direction, flicking it through the ends.

3. Blow-dry and Flick Right Side

step 3

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in an outwards direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Repeat this step and then once the roots are dry, drag the brush to the mid-lengths and then slowly turn the brush in an inwards direction, flicking it through the ends.

4. Apply Hairspray

step 4

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
