To upload your photo simply follow these easy steps:
Click on the Upload Photo button.
If you choose to upload a photo from Capture Photo, take a photo of yourself, then the photo will appear on the screen.
If you choose to upload a photo from Upload Photo, choose a photo of yourself from your device, then the photo will appear on the screen.
Your photo will automatically resize and adjust itself. Now you can start trying on hairstyles.
Your uploaded photo is private, and is not stored, so there is no need to delete your photo when you exit the app.
We recommend that you upload a head and shoulders high quality photo of yourself that meets the following guidelines:
You should be looking directly at the camera against a plain white background without tilting your head.
Your face should be well exposed.
Your photo should be of portrait size, clear, focused and well lit.
Your photo needs to be less than 6 MB in size
Please remember that the better quality photo you upload, the better you will look with the different hairstyles and colors.
With over 14000 hairstyles to choose, from short to long, and straight to curly, the options are virtually endless. Whether you're looking for a classic style or a trendy new look, you can easily find something that suits you.
All Hairstyles appear in the Virtual Hairstyler by default, sorted by new hairstyles. Use the arrows at the bottom of the navigator to look through the hairstyle pages. To try a hairstyle on your photo, click on a hairstyle thumbnail of your choice.
To search and narrow down your selection:
Use the Hairstyle Search drop down menus to choose your elasticity, length, etc, and then press the Search button.
Your hairstyle choices will then load in the Hairstyles window for you to view and try on with your photo.
Yes, we add new hairstyles every week or 2 weeks for you to try on. Our selection of hairstyles is constantly growing. We currently offer over 14000 hairstyles for you to try on, including over 11200 womens hairstyles and over 2800 mens hairstyles.
Yes, you can try 18 different hair colors on your own photo. You can also try Traditional, Chunky and Balayage highlights.
Yes, you can save your hairstyle makeovers to your PC or mobile device by clicking on the "Download Makeover" button in the top right hand corner of your current makeover in the Virtual Hairstyler.
When you upload your photo, the AI Virtual Hairstyler detects your personal features, such as your face shape, age, hair texture, density and many other factors, and matches them with all of the characteristics of our hairstyles (as determined by our expert hairstylists) so that you can instantly and easily see if that hairstyle will suit you!
The "hairstyle suitability rating" is a great feature that is indicated on every hairstyle, and can help you see which hairstyles suit you best. But you are also free to determine for yourself which hairstyles in our library will suit you using your own likes, judgements and preferences.
