Description

Groovy waves are added to the mid-lengths to ends of these brunette tresses for bounce and movement. This formal style is easy to re-create at home with the right tools and perfect for any day or night occasion. Product is needed for hold and gloss and regular trims will help prevent split ends maintaining a healthy look and feel.

Zendaya Coleman goes for an ultra polished look here with silky smooth curls and a center part. This ‘do looks great with her heart-shaped face and large expressive features. This hairstyle has a very girlie/feminine feel to it with a touch of vintage Hollywood added into the mix. Zendaya has kept her curls in tact to create a sleek silhouette and to keep the focus on her face. The center part works well with her low forehead and straight hairline, as well as her face shape. This is an ideal hairstyle to show off her hair’s natural curls as well as its thick and healthy texture.

Zendaya’s color is another fabulous feature of this ‘do. She has a warm, medium dark complexion and brown eyes, which look best with dark brown hair shades. This particular shade of rich chocolate brown not only gives her locks a healthy, glossy finish but it also brings out her eyes and flatters her complexion.

Zendaya Coleman is an American singer, actress, dancer, and model.

Styling Steps

1. Apply Moisturizer

Placeholder articles

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

2. Use a Medium Radial Brush

Placeholder articles

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

3. Blow-dry the Back Under

Placeholder articles

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

4. Blow-dry Left Side Back

Placeholder articles

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

5. Blow-dry Right Side Back

6. Use a Medium Curling Iron

Placeholder articles

A medium curling iron is used to create medium sized curls.

7. Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron

Placeholder articles

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

8. Apply Smoothing Shine

Placeholder articles

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

9. Apply Hairspray

Placeholder articles

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
