Description

Smooth and sexy is the main idea for this look. These brunette locks are blow-waved straight from root to tip to create this flat and glossy style best suited to frame a round face. Product is needed to tame fly-away hair and regular trims will help prevent split ends maintaining a healthy look and feel.

Hailee Steinfeld looks alluring here in a sleek straight hairstyle. This striking ‘do shows off her oval face shape and thick brunette locks nicely. Hailee has large, expressive facial features and a short forehead so she can pull off the sharp center part easily, while the rest of her hair creates a frame for her face. This ‘do pairs well with a dramatic makeup like Hailee’s smoky eyes and earth tone lipstick. Overall, this flat-ironed ‘do gives her a sexy, sleek finish.

This hairstyle looks exceptionally good in a rich all-over shade like Hailee’s luxurious chocolate brown. This hair color is a good match for her warm medium complexion and brown eye color. Ladies with a similar complexion will look great in this hair color, as will women with fair and dark skin tones as long as they have a warm base.

Hailee Steinfeld is an American actress, model and singer who has appeared in the movies True Grit and Romeo and Juliet, amongst others.

Styling Steps

1. Apply Straightening Balm

Straighteningbalm

Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.

2. Part the Middle

Partmiddle

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

3. Use a Large Radial Brush

Brushlarge

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

4. Blow-dry Straight Back

Backstraight

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

5. Blow-dry Straight on the Sides

Sidesstraight

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

6. Apply Smoothing Shine

Smoothingshinefinishing

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

7. Apply Hairspray

Hairsprayfinishing

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
