Description

Layered ends and waves throughout encourage movement and body in this chic jaw length bob. This short sassy 'do is perfect to compliment a heart face and needs product to pinch through the ends for a textured look and feel.

Francia Raisa is flaunting a cool short wavy hairstyle here that has a fabulous finish to it. This hairstyle looks great on her heart face shape and is ideal for her high, rounded hairline. This ‘do gives Francia oodles of volume at the sides and has tons of soft texture throughout. Ladies with a fine hair texture like hers will benefit from this hairstyle that makes the hair appear thicker thanks to the body-boosting waves and jagged ends. Francia has gone with a side-swept grown out fringe that camouflages her high forehead and gives her 'do a sexy peek-a-boo effect.

Francia’s color is another stand-out feature of this ‘do. Her rich chestnut base has been highlighted with streaks of soft gold and caramel tones, giving her locks an ultra shiny and soft finish. This hair hue looks lovely with her warm complexion and dark brown eyes.

Francia Raisa is an American actress. Raisa is most notable for her roles in Bring It On: All or Nothing and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She is currently the host of "WTFrancia" on Main Stage on Dash Radio.

Styling Steps

1. Apply Gel Spray to Roots

Placeholder articles

Hold the gel spray no closer than 3 inches from your hair and then evenly mist the gel spray into the roots to create a stronger hold style. Gel spray will hold well and will not look wet or weigh the hair down. Using your gel spray in this fashion will create added hold and a longer lasting style.

2. Part to the Right

Placeholder articles

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

3. Use a Medium Radial Brush

Placeholder articles

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

4. Part Hair in a Zigzag

Placeholder articles

Using the corner of your comb, create a straight part and then place your comb at the hairline and drag it through your hair, crisscrossing from left to right as you go. When you reach your crown, lift the comb up and then split the hair to each side, pulling it down to reveal your zigzag part.

5. Blow-dry Straight Back

Placeholder articles

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

6. Blow-dry Straight on the Sides

Placeholder articles

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

7. Blow-dry the Crown

Placeholder articles

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

8. Blow-dry Bangs Forward to the Left

Placeholder articles

To blow-dry your bangs to the side, clip the back and side sections up, leaving just your bangs out. Place your brush beneath your bangs, holding your hair to the side and remembering to hold the tension between your hair and brush. With your blow-dryer on a low setting, apply heat by starting at the roots and make sure to stretch your hair out to the ends. Repeat until your hair is dry.

9. Use a Curling Iron on the Front and Sides

Placeholder articles

Starting at the front, take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your roots. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards. Continue this step until all of the hair through your front and sides has been curled.

10. Use a Curling Iron to Curl the Back

Placeholder articles

Starting from the back, take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your roots. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards. Continue this step until the entire back section of your hair is completed.

11. Scrunch Moulding Cream Through Hair with Fingers

Placeholder articles

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips and then tilt your head forward and scrunch your hair.

12. Piece the Ends Using Moulding Cream

Placeholder articles

Apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

13. Apply Hairspray

Placeholder articles

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
