Carey Mulligan Medium Straight Blonde and Light Blonde Two-Tone Bob Haircut

Added: 30 Apr 2019
Careys' long-haired bob looks magnificent on her and contours her face nicely. Even though this bob is straight, by tucking her hair behind her ears, she creates a bit of a curve in her hair that contours her cheek and chin area and creates the perfect oval face shape. Her bangs have been swept to both sides which hides her forehead a bit. However, it opens up the rest of her face. The darker highlights in her hair give this look some life and oomph which is much needed. Overall this look is simple and yet makes a big impact. Due to the bangs, glasses will not suit this look. Not much product is needed for this hairstyle. You will need some product to keep the bangs in place throughout the day.

Your color is going to need to be touched up every 6 weeks or so and you are going to have to trim your hair as well to keep your ends looking healthy and strong. This is a simple long-haired bob but it is going to be a show stopper!

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

step 2

To blow-dry your bangs to the side, clip the back and side sections up, leaving just your bangs out. Place your brush beneath your bangs, holding your hair to the side and remembering to hold the tension between your hair and brush. With your blow-dryer on a low setting, apply heat by starting at the roots and make sure to stretch your hair out to the ends. Repeat until your hair is dry.

step 3

When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.

step 4

Apply a small amount of gel to your fingertips, then place it at the roots above your ear and drag it through as you pull your hair behind your ear.

step 5

Apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingers, then starting at your roots, apply the moulding cream as you drag your hair in an upwards, to the left, motion. Pinch the ends for added texture.

step 6

Apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingers, then starting at your roots, apply the moulding cream as you drag your hair in an upwards, to the right, motion. Use moulding cream sparingly as too much will make your hair sticky and hard to work with.
