This is a fun, casual hairstyle that Skylar Stecker is showing off. The nice thing about curls is that they will suit almost any face shape as well as hair length. Keep in mind that curls do drop throughout the day. You want to style them tightly in the morning so that by the end of the day, you still have waves and movement in your hair. Finish off with some hairspray and you are good to go. Her hair has been parted down the middle which help to frame her face evenly. Due to the way that her hair falls on the side of her hair and not in front of her eyes, glasses will suit this look which is a bonus for a lot of people. Make sure that you apply a heat protecting serum to your hair before you curl it. This is going to protect your hair from the damage caused by the curling iron. To give this hairstyle a bit of an edge, she has added highlights which show through the curls and look lovely. You are going to need to cut your hair once every 4 weeks or so to ensure that your ends stay healthy. If you are going to do the highlights as well, you need to touch up your color once every 6 weeks or so to ensure that your color stays vibrant and your roots do not show through.
When it comes to your makeup application, a gorgeous natural eye application can always be your go-to. Finish off with a bold lip or you can go more natural as Skylar did. Do not forget to highlight and contour your face and neck area to help create the illusion of a perfect oval face shape... then you are ready for your day ahead.

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.
2. Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron
Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.
To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
