Description

Kristen Dalton looks fantastic with this casual, wavy hairstyle. The tight waves in this look give off the feel that she has just come off the beach looking like an astonishing goddess with the locks of an angel. She has parted her down the side which allows the hair to create even more volume and movement with this look. This hairstyle is ideal for those with thin to medium hair density. The waves in this style create bounce but also help to give off the illusion that your hair is fuller than it really is. Due to the way the waves fall over her eye area, glasses will not suit this hairstyle. You will need to cut your hair once every 4-6 weeks to ensure this look stays in shape. Overall, this hairstyle is a casual look which means you do not need to worry about flyaway hair and add the cute glitter clip to add some fun to this style.

You should keep your makeup application simple, as Kristen has done with light foundation and a nude lipstick color and you are ready to show off your fun and exciting new hairstyle.

Styling Steps

1. Part to the Left

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

2. Apply Mousse

step 2

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

3. Use a Diffuser, Fingers and a Blow-dryer

step 3

Tip your head upside down and move the diffuser up to the ends, motioning the diffuser to the scalp in circular movements. Make sure the blow-dryer speed is on low and try not to completely dry the hair off. Leaving a little bit of moisture will allow the hair to dry naturally.

4. Apply Hairspray

step 4

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
