Juliana Harkavy Long Wavy Dark Brunette Bob Haircut with Side Swept Bangs and Blonde Highlights

Added: 07 Jan 2019
Let's just take a minute to thank Juliana Harkavy for embracing her natural curls in all their beauty! This long-haired bob is to die for! The blonde highlights bring out the shapes of the curls so nicely and the side swept path ties it all together!

She makes this look seem so easy and carefree and to be honest, it really is! There is not a lot of time to be spent to achieve this look and that is why we are loving it so much. She has turned natural look hair into a casual day look that we all want to get our hands on. Keep in mind that you are going to need to go for regular trims to keep the hair looking healthy and the bob at the desired length.

If you are going to place highlights in your hair, you are going to need to touch up your roots every 6 weeks or so to keep them looking fresh and clean. It's time we all start to embrace our natural curls!

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

Use your hand to scrunch the hair as you blow-dry. Remember to keep the blow-dryer on a low speed and heat setting and to leave some moisture in your hair.

step 4

Tip your head upside down and move the diffuser up to the ends, motioning the diffuser to the scalp in circular movements. Make sure the blow-dryer speed is on low and try not to completely dry the hair off. Leaving a little bit of moisture will allow the hair to dry naturally.

step 5

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
