Description

Madchen Amick rocks some gorgeous beachy waves here that are dressed through the mid-lengths and ends, giving her style plenty of bounce and movement. Her eye-skimming fringe blends flawlessly with her layers, highlighting her eyes and cheekbones. This 'do is easy to re-create with the right tools and needs product to tame fly-away hair. Regular trims every 4-6 weeks will help prevent split ends and keep the hair looking thick and healthy.

Mädchen Amick is an American actress. She is best known for her starring role as Shelly Johnson on the cult television series Twin Peaks, its prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and its revival television series Twin Peaks: The Return.

Styling Steps

1. Apply Mousse

Mousse

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

2. Part the Middle

Partmiddle

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

3. Blow-dry in Circular Movements with Fingers and Palm

Messydrycircular

Using a blow-dryer on a low heat setting, use the palm of your hand in slow circular movements to dry off the hair and to create a disorganized effect.

4. Finger Dry the Back with Blow-dryer

Fingerdry

Use your blow-dryer and your fingers to dry the back of your hair by moving your hair around to allow the heat to pass through it.

5. Use a Large Curling Iron

Curlingironlarge

A large curling iron is used to create large soft curls and can be used to add body.

6. Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron

Midsidecurlingiron

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

7. Scrunch Wax Through Hair with Fingers

Productsshortscrunch

Apply wax to your fingertips and then tilt your head forward and scrunch your hair.

8. Pinch Hair for Texture Using Wax

Toppinching

To finish the look, apply wax to your fingertips, making sure to smooth the wax over all of your fingers, then simply pinch the wax onto the ends of your hair, applying as much or as little as needed.

9. Style Bangs Forward Using Wax

Bangsforward

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips, and then using your fingers, rake through your bangs pinching the ends as you go to create a feathered, textured effect.

10. Apply Hairspray

Hairsprayfinishing

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
