Katherine Schwarzenegger Long Straight Dark Brunette Hairstyle - Visual Story

Description

Long and lush is the main aim for this look. Only long layers are cut through the front and sides of these tresses to encourage a little movement for a soft and simple look and feel. The middle part makes this casual style perfect to frame a round face and needs regular trims to prevent split ends.

Katherine Schwarzenegger looks beautiful here in long loose waves that are super sleek and shiny. This is a plain hairstyle that is ideal for women with oval face shapes and long layered hair like Katherine. Large waves add body and style to her ‘do, and provide a nice alternative to wearing the hair straight. Katherine has a low forehead which is perfect for a center part, but ladies with a high forehead would look better in a side part with this ‘do instead.

The color is another standout feature of this hairstyle. Katherine’s natural dark brown hair is evident at the roots and gradually lightens into a gorgeous warm blonde tone at the ends. She has a warm complexion and green eyes which works well with the combination of rich warm browns and blonde shades in her hair.

Katherine Schwarzenegger is an American author, and the daughter of actor/politician Arnold Schwarzenegger and broadcast journalist Maria Shriver.

Styling Steps

1. Apply Moisturizer

step 1

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

2. Part the Middle

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

3. Use a Blow-dryer and Fingers to Dry Your Hair Off

step 3

Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.

4. Apply Smoothing Shine

step 4

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

5. Apply Hairspray

step 5

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
