Description
This is such a simple hairstyle and yet it packs a punch. It is easy for you to style in the morning which is great because it is easy to maintain. This is important for a lot of women out there who do not want to spend a long time styling their hair in the morning. Her hair has been parted to the side which helps to frame her face as well as soften the edges. Brit Marling has also added some natural-looking highlights to this look which is gorgeous! The color is subtle and yet makes a big difference to the overall look and feel of the hairstyle. Please keep in mind that you need to use a hair straightening balm before you use your hair iron. This is going to help tame your hair as well as ensure that your hair is protected from the heat of the hair iron.
You are going to need to cut your hair once every 4 weeks or so to ensure that your ends stay healthy and that the color takes better. If you are going to do the color as well, you need to touch up your color once every 6 weeks or so to ensure that the color stays vibrant and that your roots do not show as much.
When it comes to your makeup application, you want to keep it natural and light. Do not forget to add a bit of highlighter and contouring to help ensure that you get the perfect oval face shape. Finish off with a gorgeous lip color and you are ready to take on your day.

Styling Steps
Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.
2. Apply Straightening Balm
Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.
3. Use a Straightening Iron
When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
