Fringe Ideas

If you're interested in trying a fringe then check out these ideas.

If you are looking to change up your hairstyle, but don’t want to commit to a drastically different ‘do, why not funk up your style with a fringe? Adding a fringe can dramatically change your look by bringing out your eyes and cheekbones, and even modify the appearance of your face shape.

Cutting in a fringe may seem like a radical change, but really, if you end up hating them, the worst that could happen is a few months of pinning them back while they grow out. To avoid a bad fringe job in the first place, have a look at these popular new looks and decide which one is right for you.

Fringe Ideas

Pixie Lott’s thick side-swept fringe makes quite a statement. This fringe suits oval, heart, round and square face shapes, but those with angular faces should go for a softer, layered version rather than these super-thick bangs.

Rose Byrne’s eye-skimming bangs are cut in an arch to completely cover the eyebrows and temples. These dramatic, Seventies-inspired bangs suit oval and heart face shapes best, and need regular maintenance to keep their shape.

This is a great way to try a fringe without the full commitment. Anna Faris has a light, layered fringe cut just above the eyebrow. Since this fringe doesn’t create a heavy line across the face, it suits round face shapes and square faces well in addition to ovals, hearts and rectangles. These bangs can easily be pushed to the side if you want a fringe-free look.
