  • Clear your browser's cache. This will help to avoid viewing the cached page.

What exactly does your website do?
Our revolutionary computer hair imaging tool allows you to see what you look like with different hairstyles and colors. Is all works online, so you can view our website from anywhere, and anytime.

What are the Photo Specifications?
You should send a head and shoulders high quality photo of yourself that meet the following guidelines:
  • You should be looking directly at the camera against a plain white background without tilting your head.
  • Your hair should be tied back and behind your ears, so your face and ears are well exposed.
  • Your photo should be of normal size, clear, focused and well lit.
  • Refer to the following photo.

To be able to upload your photo it needs to be in jpg, bmp, tif or gif format, which are standard and common digital photo formats.

The photo should be 2 megabytes max in size. The recommended size is between 200kb and 350kb. The photo should be at least 300 pixels wide. If your photo is too big, please try taking it or scanning it at a lower setting, or adjusting the size in a photo edit program.

If you are unable to save your photo in the correct format, please email it us and we will upload it for you.

The better quality photo you upload, the better you will look with the different hairstyles and colors!

Can I upload more than one photo?
You can upload more than one photo (unlimited photos) of your family members and friends within your membership period. You can replace your photo at anytime.

You can only view one photo at a time.

Where should I send my photo?
Please send us your photo via:
  • Upload

Yes! The hairstyles and colors can be printed from a normal printer. The quality of the printed hairstyles depends on the quality of your printer.

Yes, you can email the hairstyles with your own uploaded photo or a model photo to your friends by clicking on "Email your Style" when viewing the hairstyles.

Yes, you can save the hairstyles with your own uploaded photo or a model photo to your computer.

I am a registered user but cannot login.
To view the library of hairstyles and colors, please make sure you have the following:
  • Clear your browser's cache. This will help to avoid viewing the cached page.

  • Your browser needs to be enabled to accept Cookies and Sessions. This is a default setting in your browser.

  • Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4+, Netscape 4+ or Opera

  • Macromedia flash 6+ needs to be installed to view the Hairstyles. If you don't have flash 6 installed, please download and install it. It will only take a few minutes.

  • It is possible that you browser security settings have been set too high. To adjust them, please use the following instructions if you use Internet Explorer.

    Open your internet browser and:
    1. Click on tools.
    2. Click on internet options.
    3. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
    4. Set the setting to "Medium".
    5. Click Apply, and then OK.


  • A firewall like "Zone Alarm" or "Norton Internet Security" may prevent you from login. If so, you will need to configure your firewall to accept cookies, flash/activeX downloads and our website address (www.thehairstyler.com). Click on your firewall and enable the firewall to allow thehairstyler.com permission.

    If you have a Zone Alarm firewall installed, please use the following instructions to adjust your settings:
    1) Open Zone Alarm.
    2) Click on "Privacy".
    3) In the "Main" tab, make sure the "Cookie Control" and "Ad Blocking" options are set to "Med."



    4) Click on the "Site List" tab.
    5) Add "thehairstyler.com" and make sure all of the options have a green tick.
    6) Click on "thehairstyler.com" option, right click and select "Options".



    7) Make sure that none of the boxes are ticked and press "Apply".

    8) Reload your browser.

I can't see the latest hairstyles.
Most hairstyles are viewable only from the members area.
Please clear the cache from your browser, and login again with your username and password.

The hairstyles and colors don't look realistic. Why?
Please make sure that your monitor is set to at least 16 bit color mode (thousands of colors) and that the contrast and brightness on your monitor is set accurately so that the colors displayed by your monitor are realistic.

What is the cost?
The cost is a one time payment of US$14.95. This will give you a three month subscription to TheHairStyler.com.

Will I be charged again?
No. Memberships' with TheHairStyler.com automatically expire after 3 months and can only be renewed by you.

How do I clear my Web browser's cache?
Internet Explorer:
1. Click on tools.
2. Click on internet options.
3. Delete files then click ok.
4. Close down your browser.
5. Open your browser again, go to our website and log in.

To add your photo and styles to the "My Hair - Your Say" feature you must have a valid membership with TheHairStyler.com.

If you do not have a valid membership, please visit the registration page.

If you do have a valid membership, please log into your account and visit the "View Favorites" link and follow the instructions.

To add your comments and leave a rating for any of the styles in our "My Hair - Your Say" feature, please click on the picture of the style that you want to add your comment to and fill in the ratings box.
