If you've ever seen someone with perfect skin or soft, silky hair and wanted the same thing then wish no more!

Glowing skin and heavenly hair can be yours too. All it takes is a little dedication and a daily beauty routine that cares for your hair strands and nourishes your skin.

Healthy Hair and Nourished Skin, Daily

This routine covers the basic beauty and hair regimes you’ll need to follow daily to get your skin in shape and your hair in a manageable condition.

Morning:

Model washing faceCleanse and moisturize your face and neck (5 - 10 minutes).

Beauty tip: you’ll get better results if you choose skin care products that are right for your skin type. If you're not sure what your skin type is, try our Skin Type Consultation.

Moisturize your body, paying particular attention to dry areas such as your elbows, knees, feet and hands and then follow your moisturizer with an application of sunscreen. Sunscreen should be applied all year round (even if it’s cloudy) to protect your skin and to help keep wrinkles at bay. The sun, after all, is one of the biggest causes of aging skin (5 - 10 minutes).

Beauty tip: apply a moisturizer with added sunscreen to save time.

Brush your hair with a natural bristle hair brush to detangle and promote hair shine. If your hair is wet, always use a comb. After brushing, spritz in a hair styling product with sunscreen protection (5 - 10 minutes).

Hair tip: your hair and scalp need to be protected from UV rays too. Using hair styling products with UV protectors (or shampoos and conditioners that contain UV filters) will help to keep your hair and scalp protected and will also help to stop your hair color from fading.

Night:

Model moisturising faceCleanse and moisturize your face and neck. If you wear makeup during the day then you may need to double cleanse, but try not to over cleanse your skin. When moisturizing your face at night, the cream you use should be heavier than your day cream. Your skin repairs itself at night so look for creams that help this process along (5 - 10 minutes).

Beauty tip: don’t forget your lips. To keep your lips subtle and lipstick ready, use your cleanser to give them a gentle wash and lather on some moisturizing lip balm before you go to bed so your lips will be plump and soft the next day. If you find that your lips are flaky then you might also like to give them a quick buff with a soft toothbrush. For more great lip tips see our article, Luscious Lips with Staying Power.

Brush your hair to detangle it from the day. If it’s long enough, tie your hair back at night to protect your strands from being roughed up and becoming knotted as you sleep (5 minutes).

Beauty tip: a regular beauty regime isn’t just all about pampering. Taking care of your skin (which is the biggest organ in your body) and your hair also has many health benefits. The confidence boost from having healthy hair and skin also doesn’t go astray either!

We hope this daily beauty regime will help you to make the most of your hair and skin and recommend that you build on this routine with our Weekly Beauty Regime for Healthy Hair & Nourished Skin!
