Gwendoline Christie Short Straight Light Blonde Bob Haircut

Added: 07 Aug 2017
Blunt cut ends and curls encourage movement and body in this chic jaw length bob. This short sassy 'do is perfect to compliment an oval or oblong face and needs product to scrunch through the ends for extra texture and volume.

Gwendoline Christie is flaunting a cool short curled hairstyle here that has a fabulous finish to it. This hairstyle looks great on her oblong face shape and is ideal for her high, rounded hairline. This ‘do gives Gwendoline oodles of volume at the crown and the ends, which helps to balance out her long face shape. Ladies with a fine hair texture like hers will benefit from this hairstyle that makes the hair appear thicker thanks to the body-boosting curls and blunt ends. Gwendoline has gone with a center part that creates a symmetrical effect in her 'do and lets her grown out fringe cascade nicely around her cheekbone area.

Gwendoline’s color is another stand out feature of this ‘do. Her golden blonde base has been highlighted with streaks of soft gold and light ash tones, giving her locks an ultra light and soft finish. This hair hue looks lovely with her fair, warm complexion and dark blue eyes, and brings out the rosiness in her cheeks.

Gwendoline Christie is an English actress and model. She is known for portraying the warrior Brienne of Tarth in the HBO fantasy-drama series Game of Thrones and Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and its sequel Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

step 3

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 4

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

step 5

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

step 6

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 7

A medium curling iron is used to create medium sized curls.

step 8

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 9

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

step 10

Apply your moulding cream to the ends of your hair and then lightly pinch and scrunch the hair before allowing your moulding cream to set.

step 11

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
