Ashley Tisdale Medium Wavy Light Brunette Bob Haircut

Added: 18 May 2018
This shoulder length 'do is dressed in waves through the back and sides to give the over-all hairstyle plenty of bounce and movement. The shape of this 'do is perfect to complement a long face and great for any occasion. Product is needed to tame fly-away hair and regular trims will help maintain a healthy look and feel.

Ashley Tisdale looks lovely here in a shoulder length wavy bob that is perfect for both day and night. Ashley has an oblong face shape with a stronger jawline so 'dos with texture and wave work well to soften her bolder features. Ashley's layered locks are waved with kinky waves which gives her hair extra body and bounce while her center-parted grown out fringe highlights her eyes and cheekbones. This 'do is a simple but timeless hairstyle that is ideal for her face shape as it balances out her features and gives her face a more balanced shape.

Ashley has a medium ivory skin tone with dark eyes which makes her best suited to golden blonde hues as well as brunette tones. Although Ashley has experimented with light blonde shades in the past, she is known for her gorgeous brunette locks, which suits her skin tone and eye color better than lighter shades. This vibrant golden brown shade brings out the glow in her complexion and the sparkle in her eyes, while the highlighted tips add style and a beachy, sun-kissed finish.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

step 3

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 4

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

step 5

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

step 6

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 7

A large curling iron is used to create large soft curls and can be used to add body.

step 8

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 9

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

step 10

To get your sides to sit out, apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingertips and then working mainly on the ends, pinch them while dragging the hair in an out and upwards motion. The more moulding cream and the more pinching that you apply, the more textured and pasty the result.

step 11

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
