Claire Danes Medium Straight Light Blonde Bob Haircut

Added: 08 Aug 2016
Loose waves are dressed through the sides and back of these blonde locks to give the over-all style subtle movement and bounce. This casual style is easy to re-create at home with the right tools and needs a little product to tame fly-away hair. Regular trims is needed to prevent split ends.

Claire Danes looks lovely here in a cool, casual wavy hairstyle. Having a square face shape and high hairline, Claire’s face looks best in ‘dos with a grown out fringe and longer layers around the face. This simple bob creates a nice frame for her face and allows her hair’s natural texture to do its thing, adding body and bounce all over. The layers in the front of this bob softens up Claire's jaw line area and gives her tresses some movement. A side part finishes this ‘do off nicely and works well with her high forehead.

Claire has a warm, fair complexion with golden undertones and blue eyes. This makes her suited to hair colors that have a yellow or gold base to them, like the light wheat blonde tone seen here. This color has a soft finish to it and compliments Claire's look brilliantly.

Claire Danes is an American actress who first came to prominence with her role as Angela Chase in the 1994 series My So-Called Life. The role won her the first of four Golden Globe Awards.

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 2

Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.

step 3

A large curling iron is used to create large soft curls and can be used to add body.

step 4

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 5

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 6

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
