Jessica Stroup Long Wavy Golden Brunette Hairstyle

Added: 23 Oct 2016
Bouncy curls are added to the these caramel locks to give this casual hairstyle bounce and movement. The top is parted on the side of the part and with the body and volume around the face, this 'do is great to frame a long face. Product is needed for hold and shine and regular trims will help prevent split ends.

Jessica Stroup looks lovely here with a softly curled shoulder length hairstyle. Working with her natural hair texture, this 'do has been styled with loose flowing curls to add body and shine. This is ideal for her face shape, which is an oblong shape, as it benefits from the added width around the face and chin area in particular. Jessica has a high forehead with a rounded hairline which is ideal for wearing a side part and grown out fringe as seen here, or a shorter side-swept fringe would be another good option.

Jessica has a warm complexion with golden undertones and blue eyes. This makes her well suited red and golden hair tones the best. Here, she goes for a warm medium-copper colored base with sun-kissed caramel highlights throughout. This color works well for her and warms up her skin tone, plus it makes her blue eye color even more noticeable. This is a great choice for her as it gives her locks a healthy, shiny finish.

Jessica Leigh Stroup is an American actress and comedian, best known for her role as Erin Silver on 90210 and Max Hardy on The Following.

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 2

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

step 4

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

step 5

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 6

When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.

step 7

Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the velcro roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller down the hair shaft to the roots. Continue applying the velcro rollers all the way through the entire hair for a full volume finish throughout the sides. Keep the rollers in your hair for approximately 20 minutes.

step 8

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
