Description

(Added: 23rd March 2017 )
This cool wavy 'do has the locks left out to sit on the shoulders showing off the soft waves all over that gives this style plenty of body and volume. The shape of this 'do is perfect to complement a long face and needs product for hold and shine. The layered bangs are ideal for framing the eyes and will need regular trims to hold their shape.

Reese Witherspoon may be petite, but she sure knows how to grab the spotlight at any occasion. Here, she turns heads with a layered long 'do that is full of texture and movement. Reese has a heart face shape that looks best in styles with some softness to them, like this one. The long shag cut and side-swept fringe is ideal for framing her face shape, plus it lets her natural hair texture do its thing. The length is just right for Reese too, who looks best in longer styles that have lots of layering and movement, especially around her strong chin line.

Reese has a warm complexion and blue eyes, both of which look best in warm golden brown and blonde shades. This hair color has a dark golden blonde base with lots of wheat blonde highlights throughout. Overall, this color combo warms up Reese’s skin tone and brings out her blue eyes. It also gives her hair a glossy, healthy looking finish.

Reese Witherspooon is an American actress and producer. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised in Tennessee, Witherspoon began her career as a child actress, making her professional screen debut in The Man in the Moon, for which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award.

Styling Steps

Gelsprayroots
1 . Apply Gel Spray to Roots
Hold the gel spray no closer than 3 inches from your hair and then evenly mist the gel spray into the roots to create a stronger hold style. Gel spray will hold well and will not look wet or weigh the hair down. Using your gel spray in this fashion will create added hold and a longer lasting style.
Partleft
2 . Part to the Left
Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.
Brushmedium
3 . Use a Medium Radial Brush
A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.
Backflicks
4 . Use a Blow-dryer to Kick Out the Back
Starting at the nape/back of the hair, place your brush on top of the section and blow-dryer down starting from the roots and using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Make sure to follow the brush with the blow-dryer in an outwards direction. If you like fuller flicks, hold the ends out and roll them up into the brush and apply the heat for longer.
Sidesflicks
5 . Use a Blow-dryer to Kick Out the Sides
To blow-dry the sides, take out your first sections from the front and clip the rest of the hair up. Place your brush on top of the section, and starting from the roots, blow-dry down using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Continue this step until the hair is dry.
Crown
6 . Blow-dry the Crown
To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.
Bangsforwardrightbdry
7 . Blow-dry Bangs Forward to the Right
When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.
Midsidecurlingiron
8 . Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron
Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.
Scrunchproductswavy
9 . Scrunch Hair Using Wax and Fingers
Apply your wax to the ends of your hair and then lightly pinch and scrunch the hair before allowing your wax to set.
Hairsprayfinishing
10 . Apply Hairspray
To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
