“Wavy Hairstyles”
Description
A formal long wavy hairstyle can be described as structured, soft, elegant and classic looking. It's the kind of hairstyle you'd wear to a formal occasion such as a wedding, prom, or any important function that requires dressing up. These hairstyles vary from soft graduated layered looks to heavier all one length cuts. Shapes can be made to vary with shorter sections of hair, such as the bangs, used to change face shape perspective, or shorter top layers used to add height and body.
Method
Natural waves react extremely well to layers which eliminate weight from the hair and make it easier to style. Waves are usually molded into shape using hot rollers or heat appliances such as curling tongs and ceramic irons. Natural waves require more work in the styling phase, and scrunching techniques and styling products help define shape and holding ability.
Benefit
Long waves look soft in appearance due to their curved shape. Artificially created waves are a great way of changing your look in a non-permanent way.
