Gigi Hadid Long Straight Dark Honey Blonde Shag Hairstyle with Blunt Cut Bangs

Added: 29 Jul 2018
Chic and shaggy is the main idea for this hairstyle. These blonde locks are blow-dried straight to achieve a soft and simple look and feel. The bangs are pieced out to frame the top of the face and completes the over-all look magnificently.

Gigi Hadid looks fabulous here in blunt cut long locks. This hairstyle is ideal for Gigi's thick hair texture as well as her oval face shape. The blunt fringe hides her high forehead while creating a sexy frame for her eyes. The rest of the hair is left long and poker straight which shows off her high cheekbones and strong jaw line. Rather than add curls or waves to pump up the volume in her hair,Gigi lets her natural hair texture do its thing and embraces its voluminous texture.

As for the color, Gigi is flaunting a lovely shade of medium honey blonde here. This shows off her tanned skin tone nicely and harmonizes well with her blue-green eyes. This hair color will work well for natural blondes and brunettes with golden complexions.

step 1

Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.

step 2

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

step 4

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

step 5

To blow-dry the top section back you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure that the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly lifting your hair up and working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the top section is completely dry.

step 6

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 7

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips, and then using your fingers, rake through your bangs pinching the ends as you go to create a feathered, textured effect.

step 8

To get your sides to sit out, apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then working mainly on the ends, pinch them while dragging the hair in an out and upwards motion. Be careful not to overdo that wax or your result will be a flat and limp style.

step 9

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 10

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
