This is a full and funky style for Annette from HBO's film premier of "Mrs. Harris". The length has been jagged cut to chin level and short layered and thinned layers have been cut around the top and sides to create this full and messy style. This style is easy to maintain with regular trims.

Styling Steps

Mousse
1 . Apply Mousse
Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.
Comb
2 . Comb Hair
Comb your hair into the desired direction that you require for styling.
Dryoffmessy
3 . Use a Blow-dryer and Fingers to Dry Hair Messy
Using your blow-dryer, flip your head upside down and dry your hair using your fingers until your hair is completely dry. Remember, the messier, the better.
Fingerdry
4 . Finger Dry the Back with Blow-dryer
Use your blow-dryer and your fingers to dry the back of your hair by moving your hair around to allow the heat to pass through it.
Backmessy
5 . Style the Back Messy Using Wax
Apply wax to your palms and then roughly rub the wax into back of your style. Use circular hand movements for a messier finish.
Sidesmessy
6 . Style Sides Messy Using Wax
Apply wax to your sides using your fingertips and mess the hair in a circular motion, piecing the ends out as you go and as messy as you like. For a softer hold, use only a small amount of wax.
Toplifting
7 . Lift Roots Using Wax
Apply some hard wax to your fingertips and then rub it into your roots while lifting your strands for soft volume.
Hairsprayfinishing
8 . Apply Hairspray
To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
