The sides and back of this two-toned hairdo are tapered in to the head, blending into the top jagged cut layers which gives this look texture and shape best suited for those with round face shapes. This short and funky hairstyle will need a little product to style and regular trims to maintain shape.

Styling Steps

1 . Style Hair Down at the Back Using Gel-wax

Apply some gel-wax to your fingertips then pull through the ends of your hair in a downward motion to achieve a semi-wet, textured result.

2 . Style Sides Down Using Gel-wax

Using a small amount of gel-wax, work it through the mid-lengths and ends in a downward motion. For a more textured, grungy look, use more gel-wax while pinching the ends as you go.

3 . Flatten the Top Using Gel-wax

Apply gel-wax to the palms of your hands, and then starting at the top-back area, drag your hands forward, flattening your hair down as you go. For a wetter look use more gel-wax.

4 . Lift Roots Using Gel-wax

Apply some gel-wax to your fingertips and then rub it gently into your roots while lifting your strands. Using gel-wax in this manner will add shine and texture.

5 . Spike Top Using Gel-wax

Apply gel-wax to your fingertips, then grab a small section of hair and rub the gel-wax into your hair before twisting and pulling your strands upwards. For longer lasting spikes we recommend using strong hold gel.

6 . Style Bangs Forward Using Gel-wax

Apply a small amount of gel-wax to your fingertips and then using your fingers, rake through your bangs to the ends for shine and texture.
