Description

(Added: 9th May 2017 )
Loose beachy waves are dressed through the sides and back of these blonde locks to give the over-all style subtle movement and bounce. This casual style is easy to re-create at home with the right tools and needs a little product to tame fly-away hair. Regular trims is needed to prevent split ends.

Faith Hill looks lovely here in a cool, casual wavy hairstyle. Having an oblong face shape and high rounded hairline, Faith's face looks best in ‘dos with longer layers around the jaw line, cheeks and eyes. This simple layered style creates a nice frame for her face and allows her hair’s natural texture to do its thing, adding body and bounce all over. The longer layers around the face softens up her jaw line area and gives her tresses some movement while adding extra volume around her long face shape. A center part finishes this ‘do off nicely and works well with her features.

Faith has a peaches and cream complexion and amber eyes. This makes her suited to hair colors that have a beige base to them, like the light wheat blonde seen here. This natural-looking shade is ideal for her complexion and it brings out the intensity of her eye color, as well as her striking facial features. The darker low lights give her hair a natural looking, dirty blonde finish.

Faith Hill is an American singer, actress and record producer. She is one of the most successful country artists of all time, having sold more than 40 million albums worldwide.

Styling Steps

Mousse
1 . Apply Mousse

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

Partmiddle
2 . Part the Middle

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

Brushlarge
3 . Use a Large Radial Brush

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

Backflicks
4 . Use a Blow-dryer to Kick Out the Back

Starting at the nape/back of the hair, place your brush on top of the section and blow-dryer down starting from the roots and using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Make sure to follow the brush with the blow-dryer in an outwards direction. If you like fuller flicks, hold the ends out and roll them up into the brush and apply the heat for longer.

Sidesflicks
5 . Use a Blow-dryer to Kick Out the Sides

To blow-dry the sides, take out your first sections from the front and clip the rest of the hair up. Place your brush on top of the section, and starting from the roots, blow-dry down using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Continue this step until the hair is dry.

Crown
6 . Blow-dry the Crown

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

Bangsbackright
7 . Blow-dry Bangs to the Right

To blow-dry your bangs you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the bangs are completely dry.

Bangsbackleft
8 . Blow-dry Bangs to the Left

Curlingironlarge
9 . Use a Large Curling Iron

A large curling iron is used to create large soft curls and can be used to add body.

Midsidecurlingiron
10 . Curl Mid-lengths and Ends with a Curling Iron

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

Tease
11 . Tease Hair

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

Sidesflickssoft
12 . Softly Flick Sides Using Wax

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips, and then starting about halfway down the hair shaft, pinch and drag the hair in a downward motion before flicking the ends out. Remember not to apply too much wax as it will weigh your hair down.

Hairsprayfinishing
13 . Apply Hairspray

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
