Added: 05 Feb 2013
This medium curly light ginger red hair is a beautiful combination of soft curls, natural light red highlights and straight ends. The overall style is completed with soft, voluminous waves that flatter your face shape and keep you looking fab all day long!

Our model is wearing a medium curly light ginger red hairstyle that perfectly highlights her soft, light skin tone. We've paired this hairstyle with a sky-blue top shirt and a beautiful chain necklace. The model looks drop-dead gorgeous in this alluring hairstyle. For this hair styling, this fancy hairdo has layers cut into the back and sides to allow the natural curl to bounce up and create body through the mid-length to ends. This short curly hairstyle is perfect for women with medium to thick hair density and fine to medium hair texture. This easy-to-manage style can be worn as an updo or down with a few product tweaks. For those who prefer to go with a simple and classic hairstyle that gives a feminine touch to their look, this ginger red hair is an ideal option. With its gentle curls and soft hue, it can be worn on any occasion. This is easy to re-create with rollers or a curling iron.

This light ginger hairstyle is a great choice for those with medium texture. You can maintain this hairstyle with regular trimming after 4 to 6 weeks to maintain the hairstyle in shape and avoid split ends. This look is perfect for all occasions and ages, but keep in mind that your natural texture will determine how long it takes for your curl to grow back after trimming or cutting.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 4

Starting at the nape/back of the hair, place your brush on top of the section and blow-dryer down starting from the roots and using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Make sure to follow the brush with the blow-dryer in an outwards direction. If you like fuller flicks, hold the ends out and roll them up into the brush and apply the heat for longer.

step 5

To blow-dry the sides, take out your first sections from the front and clip the rest of the hair up. Place your brush on top of the section, and starting from the roots, blow-dry down using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Continue this step until the hair is dry.

step 6

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 7

A medium hot roller is used to give your hair looser curls and can also be used for body.

step 8

Take a section of hair from the front of your head no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller down the hair shaft until it meets the top of your head and then secure it in place with a pin or clip. Continue this step until a row of hot rollers has been applied along the very top of your head. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

step 9

Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller vertically down the hair shaft to the roots and secure it with a pin or clip. Continue applying the rollers throughout your sides until they meet up with the other rollers applied to your head to complete this style. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

step 10

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

step 11

Apply wax to your fingertips and then tilt your head forward and scrunch your hair.

step 12

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
