This glossy hairdo is blow-waved to add movement and body to the crown making it great hairstyle to balance out a round face. The layers cut through the sides and back plenty of texture on the ends for a brilliant finish. A little product is needed for hold and shine.

It's very easy to re-create this hairstyle, but first, make sure it's appropriate for you. This is a a high volume style that will suit all face shapes except for square and rectangle. Medium-thick hair will be the easiest to style, but if you have fine or thick hair you too can get this style, it just may take a bit more work.

To get this hairstyle:
First, give yourself a glossy blow-dry to make your hair shiny and smooth. Then, set your hair in large hair rollers- try ones with a barrel has a diameter larger than 1.5 inches. After your hair has been curled to perfection, start adding volume at the crown by backcombing the roots all over the head, except for the top layer. Using a root lift or mousse when you shampoo your hair will give you a helping hand when it comes to adding volume, so choose the right products before you begin styling.

When you have finished teasing the hair, smooth out the top layer, lengths and ends. You can use wax to further separate the pieces at the ends. When you have finished styling your sexy tousled hair, don't forget to use hairspray to keep it all in place. Add some fresh makeup like Anna and you are all set!

Styling Steps

1. Apply Mousse

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

2. Part the Middle

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

3. Use a Large Radial Brush

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

4. Blow-dry the Back Under

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

5. Blow-dry the Sides Under

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

6. Blow-dry the Crown

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

7. Piece the Ends Using Wax

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

8. Tease Hair

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

9. Apply Smoothing Shine

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

10. Apply Hairspray

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
