Charlotte Ross Long Straight Light Blonde Hairstyle with Side Swept Bangs

Added: 16 Aug 2015
Long layers are cut around the edges of these light blonde locks to give the edges a light finish. The bangs are swept across the forehead to soften the face and completes the over-all hairstyle magnificently. Regular trims is needed every 4-6 weeks to prevent split ends and a little product is needed to tame fly-away hair.

Charlotte Ross loves having head-turning hair, and this ‘do is no exception. Her ultra thick long locks have minimal layering throughout to maximize body and volume. A side part and side-swept fringe gives her forehead a bit of coverage and make a nice frame for her eyes. Charlotte has a heart-shaped face which is well suited to this hairstyle as it softens up her defined jaw line and camouflages the high, broad forehead that most heart-shaped faces like her have.

When it comes to the color, Charlotte is best suited to warm blonde tones and light brown shades. She has fair skin with golden undertones so a golden or red-based color is ideal for her. Here, she is flaunting a sunny blonde shade with icy white highlights throughout. This brings out her complexion and eye color nicely and gives her an overall 'California Girl' look.

Charlotte Ross is an American actress, best known for her roles on Days of Our Lives and NYPD Blue.

step 1

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

step 2

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

step 4

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

step 5

To blow-dry your bangs to the side, clip the back and side sections up, leaving just your bangs out. Place your brush beneath your bangs, holding your hair to the side and remembering to hold the tension between your hair and brush. With your blow-dryer on a low setting, apply heat by starting at the roots and make sure to stretch your hair out to the ends. Repeat until your hair is dry.

step 6

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 7

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
