Shaun Robinson Medium Wavy Brunette Hairstyle with Side Swept Bangs

Added: 02 Oct 2015
Medium to long layers are cut all through the back and sides of these brown locks to balance out a body and volume all over making this a perfect hairstyle to frame a long face. The long bangs are swept across the forehead to soften the face and completes the over-all hairdo magnificently.

Shaun Robinson channels the Seventies here with this sexy shag hairdo. This style is full of texture and body, and creates a gorgeous frame for her face. Shaun has an oblong face shape that benefits from hairstyles that add fullness. This layered ‘do makes the most of her thick hair and adds body all over, counteracting the extra length in her face. Shaun also has a high forehead which is perfectly suited her the thick, side-swept bangs. This style of fringe provides her with excellent forehead coverage while creating a sexy peek-a-boo effect.

Shaun has a gorgeous complexion that has warm undertones to it, along with dark brown eyes. This makes her suited to rich shades of brown, red and black hair. Here, she is sporting a mahogany brown base with golden brown highlights throughout for a multidimensional color that gives her a sun-kissed glow.

Shaun Robinson is a TV personality who hosted Access Hollywood, the daily entertainment news magazine show from 1999 to 2015.

step 1

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

step 2

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

step 4

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

step 5

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

step 6

When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.

step 7

A medium curling iron is used to create medium sized curls.

step 8

Starting from the back, take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your roots. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards. Continue this step until the entire back section of your hair is completed.

step 9

Starting at the front, take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your roots. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards. Continue this step until all of the hair through your front and sides has been curled.

step 10

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

step 11

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 12

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
