Straight Multi-Colored Hairstyle With Asymmetrical Bangs

Added: 11 Nov 2010
Looking for a medium-length and straight hairstyle? This medium-length bob is perfect for all occasions. This hairstyle is one that you should try, especially if you want a style that adds height and definition to your face. The hair is long enough to frame your face but short enough to allow for easy upkeep.

Our model is wearing a medium-length straight hairstyle that looks both modern and bold. She wears a top that looks both modern and bold, as well. Overall, she looks stunning in this straight hairdo! For this hair styling, this jazzy 'do not only has splashes of colour to make it look interesting, but the asymmetric shape is enough to turn heads alone. This brilliant hairstyle is best suited for the bold and brave. The hairstyle is great for oval, oblong and diamond face shapes. It works especially well on naturally thick hair and fine to medium hair textures. This look gives you plenty of height and definition with a smooth, polished finish. The best thing about this hairstyle is that it combines the beauty of a long bob with the versatility of a shorter style. It is stylish, longer looking and can be worn with many different outfits.

This is a classic straight hairstyle that can be worn on any occasion. You can maintain this hairstyle with regular trimming after 4 to 6 weeks to maintain the hairstyle in shape and avoid split ends. Direct your hair into position while applying the finishing products.

step 1

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Smoothing shine will work best on any hair type and style, but is especially good for smoothing down frizzy hair.

step 2

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

step 4

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

step 5

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 6

When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. step 7

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 8

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
