Stassi Schroeder Medium Straight Casual Hairstyle

Added: 11th September 2017
Sexy and simple is the main idea for this 'do. These medium-fine locks are smoothed down with a side part making this a great casual hairstyle to complement an oval face. Only a small amount of product is needed to tame fly-away hair and regular trims every 4-6 weeks will help prevent split ends.

Stassi Schroeder is looking gorgeous here in a layered shoulder length hairstyle. She has an oval-shaped face with a pointed jaw line and strong cheekbones. It is the most proportioned of all face shapes and suits the widest variety of hairstyles. Ladies with an oval face can experiment with a variety of hair lengths and cuts too. Stassi tends to keep her hair in simple 'dos around the shoulders and this look is no exception. Here she is wearing a layered style that curls under at the ends slightly which shows off her glowing skin and bright eyes. Her straightened locks look shiny, silky and healthy with this haircut, that can also be worn up for extra versatility.

As for her color, Stassi chooses to go for an ash platinum blonde tone that is ideal for her fair complexion and blue eyes. She is perfectly suited to hair colors that have a beige base to them just like this light ash blonde shade seen here. The all-over color is warm and vibrant and leaves her hair with a silky, shiny finish. Regular toner touch ups will ensure that the hair looks silvery blonde rather than brassy.

Stassi Schroeder is an American television personality, podcast host, fashion blogger, and model. She is best known for her role on the reality television series Vanderpump Rules.

Styling

Mousse
1 . Apply Mousse

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

Partright
2 . Part to the Right

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

Brushlarge
3 . Use a Large Radial Brush

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

Backunder
4 . Blow-dry the Back Under

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

Sidesunder
5 . Blow-dry the Sides Under

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

Crown
6 . Blow-dry the Crown

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

Bangsforwardleft
7 . Blow-dry Bangs Forward to the Left

To blow-dry your bangs to the side, clip the back and side sections up, leaving just your bangs out. Place your brush beneath your bangs, holding your hair to the side and remembering to hold the tension between your hair and brush. With your blow-dryer on a low setting, apply heat by starting at the roots and make sure to stretch your hair out to the ends. Repeat until your hair is dry.

Velcrolarge
8 . Place Large Velcro Rollers in Hair

Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the velcro roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller down the hair shaft to the roots. Continue applying the velcro rollers all the way through the entire hair for a full volume finish throughout the sides. Keep the rollers in your hair for approximately 20 minutes.

Tease
9 . Tease Hair

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

Hairsprayfinishing
10 . Apply Hairspray

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
