Justin Tranter Short Straight Hairstyle

Added: 29 Jul 2009
Justin wowed the crowd at the Anna Sui Fashion Show with his stylish 'do. The back of his hairstyle was jagged-cut and the length was left long enough to tickle his collar. The top and side layers were randomly cut so as not to look too uniform. This created a heavily textured look which is perfect for those who are wild at heart and don't mind a little attention.

step 1

Apply some moulding cream to your fingertips and then pull it through the ends of your hair in a downward motion to achieve a textured look.

step 2

Apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingers and then pinch the ends on the left hand side of your style down and forward for face-framing texture.

step 3

Apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingers and then pinch the ends on the right hand side of your style down and forward for face-framing texture.

step 4

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips then gently rake through your bangs, sweeping the hair to the right as you go. Be careful not to use too much product as it can become sticky and clumpy.

step 5

Apply some moulding cream to your fingertips and then rub it into your roots while lifting your strands for added body. Be sure not to use too much moulding cream at the roots as this can result in a glugy and thick uncomfortable feel.

step 6

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips and then pinch small clumps of hair in an up and forward motion. Pinch the clumps in different directions for a messier look.

step 7

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 8

Lacquer is great for strong hold. A small amount is all that is required to finish and should be applied from an arms length distance to the entire style.
