Jenna Elfman Layered Dark Blonde Pixie Haircut with Blonde Highlights

Added: 27 Jun 2016
This sandy blonde mane is swept back through the sides and top, with the roots teased to achieve height and lift all over. The shape of this hairstyle is best suited to complement an oval face and needs regular trims to maintain style.

Jenna Elfman looks elegant here in this short hairstyle that has been styled up off the face for an evening out. Jenna has an oval face shape and high forehead, so this high-volume ‘do is ideal for her. This hairstyle gives her face a more open look while adding height to balance out her proportions. Ladies with this face shape suit short haircuts especially well as it shows off the neck and chin area, plus styles like this one with longer layers on top give the hair added volume and body where it is needed most.

Jenna’s color is another fabulous feature of this hairstyle. Her complexion is warm with gold undertones and she has bright green eyes. Color-wise, this makes her suited to copper and blonde shades the best. Here she opts for a beige blonde base with lighter golden highlights throughout for a sun-kissed finish.

Jenna Elfman is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her role as Dharma on the 1997–2002 American television sitcom Dharma & Greg

step 1

Evenly mist gel spray around the top and sides to create a soft hold style. Gel spray will hold well and will not look wet or weigh the hair down.

step 2

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

step 3

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

step 4

Starting just above the crown take a section of your hair that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush underneath and at the roots of your section and then with your blow-dryer in front, drag the brush up and then turn it under when you reach the ends.

step 5

To blow-dry the top section back you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure that the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly lifting your hair up and working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the top section is completely dry.

step 6

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 7

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

step 8

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
