Glossy Bob Haircut With Blunt Cut Bangs

Added: 17 Nov 2011
This trendy bob haircut is perfect for anyone experimenting with a new look. With loose, wavy layers and blunt cut bangs, this haircut gives the illusion of length. Stylish, versatile, and flattering, this bob hairstyle is perfect for most face shapes with sufficient and healthy hair growth.

Our model with an olive skin tone and straight hair is flaunting this hairstyle with bold lips, which are in vogue these days. For the hair styling, this glossy bob haircut is cut to one length with the front angled down to the jawline for a concave look and feel. The bangs are also blunt cut and blow-waved to frame the top of the face and complete the overall style brilliantly. This flattering style is an excellent option for women who want to add slight length and shine to their hair, creating a trendy and polished look that will complement your best features. Choosing the right length will help you achieve this formal look while adding a simple definition to your face. This stylish bob cut has a modern look that any woman can wear. Its blunt cut adds beauty to the overall style and features a slightly layered fringe at the front. The black color brings out the best in this bob haircut. This style works best for oval, round, and heart-shaped faces.

A sleek haircut is flattering on most face shapes, but remember to maintain it with regular trimming after 4 to 6 weeks and keeping the hairstyle in shape. This haircut is a loose and effortless alternative to the classic bob with blunt-cut bangs. Use your finishing products to smooth down the ends and direct your hair into place.

step 1

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

step 2

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

step 4

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

step 5

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 6

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 7

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
