January Jones Medium Wavy Golden Blonde Hairstyle

Added: 14 Jul 2015
Beautiful waves are dressed through the back and sides of these golden glossy tresses giving the over-all look plenty of bounce and shape. This look is easy to re-create at home with the right tools and perfect for any occasion. Product is needed to tame fly-away hair and regular trims will help maintain a healthy look and feel.

January Jones is flaunting one of her signature vintage-inspired blonde ‘dos here with fabulous results. January has an oval face shape with a high forehead, which is flattered by this wavy shoulder length bob. The brushed through waves give January’s hair a soft, silky finish that frames her face and highlights her fabulous hair color. Having a high forehead, January would also benefit from a deep side part with a peek-a-boo fringe if she wanted another variation of this hairstyle.

Color-wise, January suits this buttery blonde shade very well. She has dark blue eyes and a fair golden complexion that is enhanced with this hair color. Rather than go for a highlighted look, January goes for a striking all over blonde shade that brightens up her complexion and eye color nicely.

January Jones is an American actress and model. She is best known for playing Betty Draper in the television series Mad Men.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

A large hot roller is used to give your hair a larger curl and to add lots of body.

step 3

Take the entire back section of your hair, and then starting from the crown, take a smaller section of hair no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller down the hair shaft until it meets your head and then secure it in place with a pin or clip. Repeat this step until you have reached the nape of your neck and the entire back section of your hair is completed. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

step 4

Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller vertically, making sure to roll it backwards, along the hair shaft to the roots and secure it with a pin or clip. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

step 5

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 6

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
